World 1999 Restart?
I know that may seem a bit extreme, but the thread has just plain gone to hell. Maybe we don't have to do a complete restart, but how about setting the clock back to before the little Slav war? It's unfair to keep Luk's moves in because everyone would have a piece of Ukraine and Poland, a move which otherwise wouldn't be attempted against NPCs this early. We should really stop posting in that thread as no one is listening to Luk and everyone is destroying him, which isn't fair to a newbie who could claim that land, which is actually pretty good, Luk just sent it to hell in a handbasket.

You can have Britain, but I think Australia may be a bit much. I mean, it's not like it's really powerful, but Oceania would be prime land for another player.

I'd like to claim Russia and Ukraine, where I would actually play as a major player. The 1st Goal is to reach superpower status again. I fully support a complete restart, and Luk kicked out until he can prove to us his realism is good enough, which will never happen. If that is no good, leave off Ukraine.
Scott, I think only the US is fine. Canada is too much and should be left to a newbie. I think Mao should be mod... who is with me?

I pick the Baltic States, (Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia), Belarus, Poland, and Germany, plus either former Czechoslovakia, Hungary, and Austria or the Ukraine. (Giancarlo shouldn't be able to take all of Russia and the Ukraine!)

whoa, Russia AND the Ukraine? That's a bit much. The three countries which are considered major powers and shouldn't be taken with any others are: America, Russia, China. I mean, you could reasonable take China and Mongolia as no one would take it, but China by herself is powerful enough.
