  • Europe 1750: Part II

    OOC: We should do a part for every three pages. I have cable and it took quite a while to load up.

    IC:

    France Begins Improvement of the American Colonies

    We will be using some of our budget each month to improve the life of people in our American colonies. In New Orleans we will be building countless docks and we are giving British colonists the right of deposit in New Oreleans ports. Quebec, Montreal, and Ontario will begin construction on various mills in the great lakes, as well as a few entertainment buildings and a militia sign up station hosted by the governor.

    The 9th Armée Begins Training in Paris
    Consisting of 50,000 men, totalling to $100 to train and $50 to maintain, the 9th Armée will begin training this month. Their training will end in two months and Corps XXXXI, XXXXII, XXXXIII, XXXXIV, and XXXXV will be in service.

    FRENCH BUDGET

    FRANCE = $3,210
    ::: Europe: $2,100
    ::: Americas: $1,060
    ::: India: $40
    : 30% * 3,170 = 963.
    ::: Total Army budget: $450
    ::: Total Navy Budget: $120.5
    ::: Total Military Budget: $570.5

    :::: $951 - 570.5 = $380.5

    Total Amount of Money as of now: $9,220 (if three turns have occured)

          As I said at the end of the other thread:
          I'll get the three battles up tommorrow, I'm too tired right now (haggling for 4 hours over dumb crap doesn't make me feel good.).

          I'm also thinking of no longer controlling the NPCs... there's too many of them and they get confusing... though I'm not sure how we could work battles then... I could try and teach you all how to use the simulator, if you wish...

              OOC: Polaris, there's no need to say "XXXXI, XXXXII, XXXXIII, XXXXIV, and XXXXV"....

              Because L=50,
              XXXXI (41) is actually supposed to be XLI.
              XXXXII (42) is XLII
              XXXXIII (43) is XLIII
              XXXXIV (44) is XLIV
              XXXXV (45) is XLV, not VL. The lesser number must be consecutive from the greater number, and the negative I can only occur with V or X. So for 49, it can't be IL. It would have to be XLIX.

              That concludes my lesson on Roman Numerals. Now, time for the quiz. What's 50?

              If you said L, you're right!

                  To the rulers of Austria and France:

                  Let it be known that the Netherlands have no intention of undoing the recent reunification with the Southern Netherlands. All of what you refer to with the ridiculous name of Belgium is historically and culturally part of the Netherlands, but due to certain unfortunate events related to involvement and imperialism of certain foreign powers in the Netherlands we got separated. Now that part of the reunification has been achieved, there's no way we voluntarily return them so that they can be ruled as another Hapsburg puppet state.

                  Budget:
                  Europe:

                  42 Territory points
                  14 Smokestacks
                  => Budget of 560 points
                  => Military budget of 168

                  Upkeep:
                  4 Heavy, 5 Light, 2 Privateers, 45.000 regulars => 87.5

                  Left part of the budget:
                  80.5

                  Training:
                  30.000 regulars (Costs: 60)

                  Left for treasury: 20.5

                  IV Corps (15.000 men) - Antwerpen
                  V Corps (15.000 men) - Brussels

                  Locations of the other troops:
                  I Corps (15.000 men) - Amsterdam
                  II Corps (15.000 men) - Brabant
                  III Corps (15.000 men) - Brabant, moving to Gelderland (northeast of Brabant)

                  America:
                  Budget: 40
                  Military budget: 12
                  Upkeep (3.000 men): 3
                  Training 4.000 regulars: 8
                  Left for treasury: 1
                  VI Corps (3.000 regulars): Curacao

                  India:
                  Territory points: 7
                  Budget: 35 (What's the number of points for Ceylon though?)
                  Military budget: 10
                  Troops: 11.000 colonial militia

                  VII Corps (6.000 colonial militia): Bimilpatam
                  VIII Corps (5.000 colonial militia): Thanjavur

                  => Total left for treasury 31.5
