I'm looking for good territorial maps of the colonies. BD expressed interest in being a Native American Confederation, which would prove a very interesting addition to the game...

I've found one map, but I've got to do some extensive cleanup on it... it may take a few days...

The good news is, I have the main European map done.

Overseas colonies... France has the area claimed in Louisiana, and Quebec... Britain has the 13 colonies, Spain still has much of her Carribbean Empire...

    England:
    13 colonies
    Jamaica
    Barbadoes
    St. Kitts
    Montserrat
    Antigua
    Bermuda
    Belize

    Spain:
    Mexico
Much of Central and South America
    Cuba
    Santo Domingo (E. Hispanola)
    Puerto Rico
    Florida

    France:
    Lousiana
    Quebec
    Guadeloupe
    Martinique
    Haiti

    Holland:
    Curacao
    St. Maarten

-1 day real time = 3 months story time
-if your country gets conquered don't whine about it, just start another country.
-no building steel refineries in the 1760's If you've got a backward country don't modernize it in a week

Rebels in colonies should probably be allowed (ie Bolivar and Washington types).

I was thinking of trying something new with the combat and army movement, if everyone wants to do so...

You'd be able to divide your field forces into armies, each with a leader with different attributes (leadership, charisma, skill). Now, when a battle occurs (two opposing armies in the same territory), I have got the formulas for battles in Empire in Arms... what the player does is pick a tactic (outflank, etc.), and then send that to the mod. I make a series of die rolls (morale, fighting, etc.), and check on the chart and then casualties and whatnot can be assigned. And of course I can write nice flowerly battle write ups.

The biggest problem to this right now is that I can't find many leaders for these nations in the 1750s... All I have now are

            ENGLAND:
            George II
            Duke of Cumberland
            Duke of York

            FRANCE:
            Louis XV

            PRUSSIA:
            Frederick II

I'm looking for others, but if you guys want to try this to get rid of unrealistic battles and backbiting (instead everyone can attack me. ), we can try it...

            Here's my finished European Map

The terrain that has green and national colors going through it is woods... if we go with my battle idea they could modify the results as well...

The numbers in each little territory are how much it is worth individually, if we want to do anything with that. The city sizes are shown by the number of stacks on the factory:

            5 - Metropolis
            4 - Huge
            3 - Large
            2 - Medium
            1 - Small

The blue boxes with numbers (such as Yarmouth with 80 under it) indicate ports and how large they are (the largest is London, with 110)

I can think of a Dutch leader, that would not be too hard. But what is a 6, it's even bigger I presume?

Id idn't see any 6 smokestack cities on teh map...

Some of the territories are 6's, they are some of the richer ones in Europe...

look at this 1763 map http://www2.bc.edu/~heineman/maps/1763.jpg
I think you've got some of your borders a bit off.
                    1. the area around Zara is Venician I think

It's Savoy, not Piedmont I think.

The Papacy controls the Romagna/Ancona area

Mameluke Egypt and the rest of North Africa are nominally still part of the Ottoman Empire, but the Ottomans had virtually zero control over them. The Ottomans had similarly little control over much of their balkan territory and the north coast of the black sea (I think).

I think that my map says that Tuscany and Milan are controlled by the Austrians, but it's hard to tell.

Austria was lead by Francis I of the Holy Roman Empire. But I'd rather have Kaiser Roman I. If that's okay??

I've checked out five books on teh War of Austrian Succession, and the Seven Years War... so I'll hopefully have a list of commanders by later tonight.
