  • What on heck is Diplomacy?!

Tell me all the basics and history, I´m listening.
The Chuck Norris military unit was not used in the game Civilization 4, because a single Chuck Norris could defeat the entire combined nations of the world in one turn.

It's a board game made by Avalon Hill, which is now part of Hasbro. They've been making it for at least 20 years, because I have one of my dad's old AH manuals from the 1980's, and it has it on there.

I don't have it myself, but I do have a few other games by Avalon Hill, most of them passed down from my dad.

Wait a minute, is it a board game?
And yes, I had read that Intro to Diplomacy, but I cant still get few things.

For example, do I need to buy something from a store or can I play "Dip" with a printed map, downloaded rules and rocks

I'm not sure where you can find it (Net or elsewhere), but I do know that no one's played it here in a long time.

Just readed the rules, quite easy to make own markers and army pieces (ok, not so easy )

Last question (I think), how many army and fleet pieces I need all?
            70?

Diplomacy first came out in 1958. Diplomacy is a diceless strategy game which is set in 1900 and each of the seven players represents the seven major European powers of WW1. The object of the game is to capture 18 supply centers and for each supply center you get one army or navy.
