    what are social factors? they are the things that SE values change...like industry and efficiency. but because we want a new game and not a SMAC rip off. i want to start this thread to discuss new SF or atleast new names...here is what i came up with:

    1)
    probe teams: change in: loyalty.
    it only effects your defence against probe teams....(for attacks of probe teams loyalty)

    2)
    planet: change in: ???
    because we are going to use different planets...(earthlike planets/moons/atroid belts) this concept has to change or be split up.

    3)
    research: change in: scholing
    it not only effect your research rate but also (to a lesser extent) your manufacturing costs.....


    this is all i can come up with at this time. 2 and 3 arent that good but 1 i like the most

    planet could be changed to ecology, since planet wouldnt make much sense as we wont have the sentient planet system

    efficiency could be changed to bureaucracy level: the lower your rating (meaning more conflicting bureacrats) lowers income and production

    training: see thread "new SE values"

    industry could be changed to production efficiency or production capacity

    Police should stay the same, but democracy should lower this rating (few above the law policemen in democracy)

      My idea was not to change existing settings, but to add new ones:
      1.PROBE will affect only Network security (in StP will be much more probe game, for example you cannot see enemy bases production after a simple "Datalink Infiltration"), but will no longer affect bribe cost (or it will affect it, but less).
      Loyalty is setted as default to the maximum (i.e.: 100) because your soldiers will rely with you (also if you are not a lot militarized); if your sanity/reliability decrease also soldiers' loyalty will be affected. Settings as POLICE or SPIRITUALITY will make your soldiers' trust in you more stronger (less affected by leader's insanity, atrocities... )
      NOTE:non-brainwashed troops can refuse to commit continous senseless atrocities...

      2.Ok, ecology sound good but the name doesn't change the substance. I desire to remember we must design the PSI-combat and other xeno-related things

      3.I don't see any reason to change RESEARCH setting.
      P.S. Schooling idea is good, but we must decide how to implement it. In Workers, Talents and Leaders thread I've said that Talents are high-cultural people in certain field, and maybe it will be possible to have schooling facilities (Children Creche:+moral,+efficiency, Base Schools:-drones, High Schools:+talents).
