Since we seem to be showcasing the scenarios...

THE MANUAL CAN BE ACCESSED VIA THIS LINK:

It contains information about all seven equally playable sides, maps, and unit information and tips.

Btw I am interested in a PBEM of my scenario, but I'd be a 100% newbie to the PBEM thing so you'd have to be patient with me

                *Calms self down*

Why, Darth Veda, what an intruiging proposal. I shall have to consider that particular propostion...

I am currently considering another patch to the game to address the only thing I'm worried about: the overwhelming power of the Daimyo. If you lose him you're pretty much screwed in the early game, but I don't want to weaken him so much that you can't carve an empire in the beginning using him.

I was thinking about adding one or two units to the early game or after the death of the Daimyo. I'll come up with something by this weekend.

ooh. I've come up with a way to get a deceased Daimyo back without allowing the player to get multiple Daimyo. But that will remain a secret until the next patch...

Hey Veda - while we're at it, other than the Daimyo being very easy to bribe, I think the message about the Daimyo being slain only appears for the first one killed (must be one of those "anyone" triggers).
II. 193 And fight them until there is no more tumult and oppression, and there prevail justice and faith in Allah; but if they cease, let there be no hostility except to those who practice oppression.

I'll see what I can do. Sometimes in MGE I think if a unit dies in a stack, they don't get registered. I'll do some testing

Oh also, there is a PBEM signup underway for everybody who doesn't already know:

I'm also going to have yet another patch available this evening to fix some issues and spruce up the game some.

Hey León thanks... you helped me figure out a major bug. I fixed it so now I'm playtesting.

UPDATE: Ok, here's the deal. "Anybody" only works once no matter what field it's in. This is ok for the Daimyo.

However, for the individual units, it's going to come to 'first-come-first serve' in getting 'defeated' technologies (pre-requisites for the next level advance).

I wish I could completely fix this but it's come down to a question of events space (really wish I had that ToT 100k)

Anyway, the first civ to kill a type of unit will get the 'death' technology. Everybody else will get nothing when they attack a new type of unit. Simple solution? Attack anything shiny looking.

I'll come up with sometime inbetween...

                              OK HERE IS THE STORY:

With 484 bytes remaining, I eeked in enough code so that every player would have access to the second-level of the tech tree through death prerequisites.

However, when it comes to third tier technologies, it's every player for him/herself.

To do this, I had to eliminate everything having to do with the death of a Daimyo.

Sorry, no more free cash from the death of a Daimyo.
