  • unit stacking?

    Guys,

Thanks for your suggestions on Civ2 graphics. HiRes +
    Shift-Z combo works great!

Another question: Is it possible to do true combined arms in Civ2, a la CTP? From what I remember of Civ2, only the highest offense, defense values of a stack were used in battles. That seems kinda lame now.

Does the AI use combine arms in Civ2? And if this true stacking can be done, how do you make the AI smart enough to understand that?

    I hope I don't get flamed!

Civ II does not do stacking except in fortresses, airbases and cities. By stacking I mean that the units do not combine defenses. If a unit in a stack is killed in other than one of 3 above situations, the whole stack dies.

Conducting offensives is the AI's greatest shortcoming.
