  • Gigamaps

I've been away from the forum for a looooong while and seem to have missed the advent of gigamaps. So I'm just wondering what kind of size limitations they have, how they're made and if there's anything else I should know about them.

I'm happy to be pointed to other threads or URLs if everyone's sick of the subject by now

Don't get the gigamap they have for download here. Ask someone in the Civ2-Multiplay forum for the map 'diplomap.mp' it is a better gigamap.

Actually, the giga-map here is the first EVER giga-map. My favorite is the jtworldh.mp There is an old thread here for playtesters.

The maxi size for ToT or MGE is actually 32767.
There are already 3 good maps, as I just explained in another topic (new gigamap).
