  • upgrading obsolete units?

    Hi,
    I downloaded a mod pack which is very well done and enjoyable, except for a small bug. Leo's Workshop upgrades battleships to carriers...which throws a wrench into my naval-biased playing style. Here are the lines from the rules.txt:

    Battleship:
    nil, 2, 7.,0, 12a,6d, 4h,3f, 10,0, 2, Inv, 010000000001000

    Carrier:
    nil, 2, 5.,0, 0a,8d, 4h,2f, 10,0, 3, AFl, 000000010000001

    Can anyone help me find something to change here that would prevent the upgrade?

    Hmm, that's weird. Neither unit has an expiry tech and their AI roles are different, so...

      I not sure, but I think this has to do with the techs that are needed for these units. So, if Inv for the battleships is one of the Prerequisites for the carrier tech (here AFl) the upgrade is done automatically. Try to change the carrier tech into another "line" of the techtree.
