  • Lazyciv Problem

    With the releae of Lazyciv 2 I was very happy, no more production problems I thought! But for me it doesn't seem to work.

    I start up MGE, load a multiplayer savegame and play my turn. Then, with one unit selected, ready to press Ctrl-N, I load Lazyciv 2 and It comes up with an error saying Civ is not running.

    Has anyone had similar problems and have they fixed them? My spec is:

    Windows 98SE
    Civ MGE UK edition patched to V1.3
    PIII 500
    96MB RAM

    Can anyone help me? Xin Yu? I'll post this on fanatic aswell (Xin Yu seems more active there).

    Mordhiem: the program doesn't work for you since you have a UK version instead of US version. I don't have the UK version so I can't help you, unless you can provide the following information:

    a) the exact name of your civ2 program (appears on the title bar), this is case sensitive;
    b) the memory address of "which civ is the human player";
    c) the memory address of "which civ is playing" -- this is the address in b) + 2;
    d) the memory address of the start of city information block.

    You can use a memory reading program (e.g., game trainer 2.01) to find the addresses. This requires that you have some knowledge about game hacking. gt201 is a freeware and you can download it from the web (the place I downloaded it was closed so you have to search "game hacking gt201" from the web to locate a place, should not be too difficult).

    Sorry I can't do anything without proper information available.

      The title that appears on the bar is:

      "Ultimate Civilization II"

      I'll get back to you on the memory address front, although it's probably the same.
