WEIRD QUESTION

How come when I start up a scenario, a random unit from that scenario will sometimes appear in the upper left of the intro screen? Other times, nothing appears there. What's the deal with this? It seems to happen with all scenarios without rhyme or reason. Anybody else seen this or know what's going on? I've got MGE in case it matters.

When you save your game as a scenario when your building it, and the unit that is active when you exit belongs to the designated protagonist of your game, that specific unit appears in the upper left hand corner of the text box.

I was wondering this too not too long ago.
