  • Civilopedia support for terrain types (FW)

Okay, so we all know that this doesn't work, along with the game concepts section, and we further all know that it is very frustrating in a scenario with new terrain values not knowing what those values are and what you can do with them.

    I present three solutions:

    1. Predicates that you're using one method to load the civ2.exe in the scenario directory (see http://apolyton.net/forums/showthrea...threadid=26249).
You can edit the menu.txt file this way. I'd suggest changing the option "View Credits" to "Terrain information". Then you edit the game.txt credits box, wiping all the text and replacing it with important information on the terrains. Don't forget the ^ character to mark a new line.

    2. You can perhaps edit the labels.txt line "Government: Overview" to "Terrain information" and then replace the section in the pedia.txt file as above.

    3. Upgrade to MGE

You can of course edit the game.txt or pedia.txt directly, but people won't know the information is there unless you tell them.
"I didn't invent these rules, I'm just going to use them against you."
