  • Transparent Icons

For some reason, some of my icons are turning out transparent.
That is, a major background color (usually the blue of the sky) doesn't show, and you can see the screen behind it (usually the grey window where you choose production). How do I stop this from happening?

What graphics program are you using? Have you checked which colors are set as transparancies?

Perhaps you used the same blue tone as the dots in the units screen that define the shield location. Of some colors, the very first tone will show up grey (I had that happen with the first red tone once as well). For some reason, there is also a cyan tone that will show up grey. Just try another tone.

I am using Fantastic Worlds, and I made all of my icons with the Fantastic Worlds editors. Mainly I imported them from other scenarios and changed some of the colors and details.

Edit: Stefan, although it's mainly sky blue, if another color's the background (like if it's a space satellite with a black background) the black will be transaprent too.

That's weird... do you have any other graphics editor? If not maybe I can fix that for you
