  • What's your age?

I was just curious to see what the average age of the 'Scenario League' fan was. I myself am 20 years old and going to college while working. Playing Civ II is kind of a guilty pleasure or special club for me. I don't like to advertise to people (specifically girls) that I am a Civ fanatic, but for me and my friends that do play it is a secret obsession. I even have friends who would have never thought of playing Civ until I introduced it to them. Now they have me to thank for the many sleepless nights that they have spent in front of the computer.

So I guess, what I am really asking is what's your age (or maturity level) and how do your friends and family handle your addiction?

    my bad!

I see that I messed up a bit on the choices. I should have done it like 11 - 20 years of age and so on. I guess you can like at it this way. If your 20th birthday is today then pick the 10 - 20 group. If your birthday was yesterday (and so on) then you would pick the 20 - 30 group. I will just have to see if this works.

                      No surprise here...

The poll is turning out about the way I figured it would. I was kind of hoping to see more or 50'ers though.

I know, every time I think I can kick it, it just reels me back in.

It's almost a perfect half bell curve. I would've like to seen that 10-20 range broken down a bit more though.

When I first bought Civ II original in 1997 it was new and very addictive, being interested in history the Rome scenario that came with it was played many times, from it I learn't about scenario making as I would edit it.
Playing an ordinary Civ game for me was never addictive, could say it was boring due to the reason that I could never envisage the Zulus ruling the world in a historical context!

Now as I am designing Roman era scenarios, so this is the reason why I am using Civ II at the moment, it is a great and unique game indeed (I find its simpler pace and graphics ease the eyes compared to Age of Empires and Caesar III). Even when the scenarios are finished of by the begining of next year, I will still test them out and log in to Apolyton.

I am 22 going 23 in October so I should have got out of playing this by now!
