Replace Test Units

Is it possible to replace the test units with units that can be researched in a game? i've already used all the extra unit spaces. but when i try to replace the test units, the game crashes everytime. am i doing something wrong or is it not possible?

The test units can be replaced. I dont know why the game crashes on you because they should work exactly the same as the extra units.

Your crashing is most likely due to an error in your rules.txt file. Check it carefully.
