  • Help w/ Dates for scenario

I need some help with assigning start and end dates to a scenario that I am currently working on.

    Gothmog? Are you out there?

Well the only things you need to know are all under scenario parameters. You have:

    1. Turn Year Increment (negative numbers let you use monthly intervals)
    2. Starting Year (play around with this after setting no.1 to get the date you're after)
    3. Maximum Turns. If you want to set the last turn at a specific date, use:
    4. Set Game Year (Shift+F4) under the cheat menu, to establish what turn number your target date is, then enter that in maximum turns.

-2 turn increments gives you a month per turn ratio.
24000 on set game year puts you in the year 2000.
300 turns of gameplay by the -2 ratio starting in 2000 will put you in mid 2051.

I usually set those parameters first then tweak them to fit my needs.

Well, let's just assume, (for the sake of argument) that I'm an idiot.

Now then, what exact numbers should I input in order to get a scenario that runs for 150 years from 1500 to 1650?

        Thanks,

          turn increment = 1
          set game year = 1500
set number of turns = 150

Right you are, Warvoid--and thanks. Btw, this new scenario has been spurred by an explosion of inspiration. I started on it this morning and it is almost ready to begin playtesting. It's coming together very, very fast!
