  • a good scenario for a hotseat game?

a friend of mine and I often play hotseat multiplayer games with scenarios. lately we have been running out of good scenarios.

So, I have to ask, are there any scenarios suitable for a hotseat game with 2 human players, which progress fairly rapidly with a minimum of micromanagement?

I've heard people talk about playing hotseat with 2,194 Days of War and Second Reich. There are others, but I wouldn't know.

Is CSC's version of 2194 days of war the newest? I played a mp game of it last night with two other guys and Britain was having an awful time with unhapiness on King.

Try Second Reich. Or WWII Global. Or maybe 2194 Days of War. All excellent.

...or, if your opponent is really horrible: Red Front

Uh, your opponent would have to be DIRT STUPID to play as Germany so you could have a fair shot as russia. I tried it as germany in 1.4... I was in Moscow in June.

Why don't you try my Fictional Americas? I think the Irish, the Romans, and the Chinese are fairly equal.

thanks for the suggestions, but I should have been more specific. he and I prefer to play ancient, medieval, or at least pre-1900 or so scenarios. also, since he is usually at my house for only 2 hours at a time, we need a scenario in which much can be accomplished in a short period of time.

Most Microprose scenarios are good for Multiplaying. They're fast and playable for more than one civ.
                WW1, or Napoleon, or Alexander.

Other fun scenarios would be: Vikings by Harlan, The fall and Resurrection of an Empire by Matthias, the Boer War by me , Menelik by Blackclove or any other SDC1 scenario, most scenarios by Jesús, most scens by Stefan.

There's a lot of choice really.
