Think about that, Mao. Mexican skin is not the whitest of the Civ2 palette. That is a cowboy hat, not a sombrero.

Farmers used to wear this clothing. **hint**

Does it have anything to do with either the Whiskey Rebellion or Shays' Rebellion? Or am I to far in the past?

Uhm, Confederate Drill Sergeant? Is it a simulation of Confederate soldiers going AWOL?

Yup! That's what it is! You're the colonel of a CSA regiment trying to muster up troops for a your home-raised regiment. You have to keep your men both from fighting each other and try to gather enough disipline to fight the Yanks. Good luck Colonel Leo!

Upon magnification is does look like a rifle with a strap and a pistol in the left hand. The color of the uniform is grey with a butternut belt. In tying back to the earlier Underground Railroad guess, this unit could be a fugitive catcher, only after the Confederates have declared (or won) their independence?

Steve Clark, you are one who gains my respect. Seriously, you are the only one to sit and think about this.

Note: clothing on the unit was drawn from a book of how citizens of the United States looked from 1800-present. Another hint there.
