  • Losing your objective cities

I've noticed in some recent scenarios that size 1 objective cities without city walls are not destroyed even when units within are killed. How is this done? In my scenarios I have usually just accounted for the likelihood of this happening in determining points required for victory.

I'm thinking in particular of "2194 Days," the World War II scenario.

The attacking unit is a determinant factor: generally only land units reduce population without city walls.

And air units attacking from a land square. No, these weren't ships attacking. Maybe it was just my imagination.
