  • Harlan Thompson's Dark Ages Scenario

Hi all. On Feb.29, the legendary scenario creator Harlan Thompson revealed three units from his up and coming scenario Dark Ages. Anyone know about this scenario of his. I'm looking forward in playing his newest creation, who else is.

    Hi,
That's me (a legend in his own mind ). The scenario is moving forward rather slowly because I'm waiting on a tech tree for it that someone else is making.

I'm also making a "spin off" scenario at the same time that focuses just on the Byzantines of that period, and will be released in ToT format. The wonders and units used in that have already been released at the Cradle of Civilization website; they're basically the same as the ones used in the new Dark Ages.

I'm particularly excited about the Byzantines spin off- William Keenan is helping me make some tricky flag related events that will allow new things never seen in scenarios before. One feature I really like: you will have a series of different emperors, each with a unique name and variable reign lengths and abilities. Your civ's fortunes will rise and fall on the qualities of your leaders, just as in real life.

If anyone wants to help make this thing move faster, please let me know.

Damn, the Byzantine spin off sounds really good. Civ's fortunes depends on the emperor's abilities? I like to see that? Well thats two scenario's i can't wait to play. Keep up the good work

Harlan, sent a message to your hawaii.edu mailbox. Can't find the other.

Will be happy to "help make this thing move faster", if I can.
