  • The Barbarian Paper V1.1

I recently updated the Barbarian Paper to version 1.1

I was wondering if it has inspired anyone to design a scenario that keeps the random barbarians in play?

That's a very nice update! I found the original BP very useful during the design of "End of the Bronze Age". Random Barbarians were an important feature (as they would be in most ancient scenarios), so the BP was quite useful when it came to selecting new units and developing the tech tree.

While examining the revised BP, I just came up with an idea for a "new" Ancient Era advance: Naval Dominance (Mobile Warfare) - "Your navy has achieved mastery of the high seas. The Age of Piracy is at an end!"
To La Fayette, as fine a gentleman as ever trod the Halls of Apolyton

From what I understand of that Civ game of yours, it's all about launching one's own spaceship before the others do. So this is no big news after all: my father just beat you all to the stars once more. - Philippe Baise

William, that IS very nice, indeed! Yes, I think I will have barbarians like that in TERAMORE, but I'm not quite sure. They would just be a lot of Merecenaries like the ones the Wolfmen hire. Excellent document! Thanks for the help!
