  • I need help iin editing Civ Test of Time

    Hi I'm adding an if statement to the events file and I wanted to add text if you captured ANYONES capital and I was wondering how to do this. REMEBER I AM NOT MAKING A SCENARIO SO THE OTHER TRIBES CAN STILL MOVE THEIR CAPITALS AROUND!!
    Here is an example of what I want to do:
    @IF
    CityTaken=enimie capital
    @THEN

    TEXT
    TRIBE CAPITAL TAKEN, CIVILIZATION COLLAPSES UPON ITSELF!
    ENDTEXT
    @ENDIF
    I know this trigger might not be exactly right but it gives you a rough sketch of what I want to do. You can also reply to through e-mail at Tootool2@cs.com

    You asked this question in the ToT forum already. I suggest you restrict your questions to a single forum in the future.

      There are a few things that would help your events file (and us):

      1) Is this a ToT, FW, or CiC scenario? There are differences.

      2) It would help to know how to type in English.

      3) Why not read the manual, it would help a whole lot more to know the language than to ask somebody else about it whenever you need an event.

      ANYHOO... You will have to do a unique event for each civ. If they move their capital, this city will still trigger the event. There is NO way to use the movement of the capital to trigger this even. (Unless of course, you have ToT... and it would be very complex anyway).

      @IF
      CITYTAKEN
      city=(Insert Name of Capital City--exact)
      owner=(Insert Name of Civ--exact)
      @THEN
      DESTROYACIVILIZATION
      whom=(Insert Name of Civ--exact)
      TEXT
      ^TooTool2 is killed in battle by a large
      ^Gorax. The capital of the Idiot empire
      ^falls to the forces of light
      ^
      ^You have won the game!!
      ENDTEXT
      @ENDIF
