  • Wave file request

My project 'History of Asia, Part B,' is in the process of being completed, for those who remember my past project 'History of Asia, Part A' (which should still be in these forum backlogs if you dig), notably Yurt, who made extensive comment on the first part (and no, I haven't created a satisfactory Mongol scenario yet). However, a needed wave file is Fire--.wav, Medgun.wav and Lrgexpln.wav in sequence for an extra artillery unit filling an Extra Unit slot. My old computer, which had a wave file mixer, is on indefinite loan, and I'd greatly appreciate anyone who could mix me up such a file. If anyone has any suggestions for 'History of Asia, Part B', which covers East Asia and the Pacific in time period chunks from 1921 to a hypothetical 2010 (five scenarios in one folder unified by common text and bitmap files), please let me know.

Am I the only person who uses Sound Recorder for making new sound files?

No problem, it's the least I can do for a fellow Edmontonian.

I have every iteration of Civilization except Civ I (including a separate base Civ II, Conflicts in Civilization, Fantastic Worlds, MGE, ToT, a Walnut Creek toolkit, and Civ III). If you have a ToT scenario you'd like me to test, e-mail it to me at chandallah@netscape.net or post it on this thread. I'd be happy to give it a try and let you know what I think.

              What's a "Walnut Creek toolkit"?

BTW, "Warlords of China, Struggle for Unification: 1916-1937" will be ready for playtesting before the end of September. Obscure, but pretty cool, I hope.

I actually touch upon that period between my two 'History of Asia' scenarios (the dividing point is somewhere in the middle), though not, I imagine, in as much detail. I will gladly give it a try and let you know what I think. By the way, the mentioned supplement to Civilization II is an independently collected library of maps, mods, and scenarios put out by a small software firm called Walnut Creek, though I found everything on it later when I first discovered Apolyton, though I kept it just as a part of my collection.
