map editor help?

I mad this map, it's supposed to be a wet, warm world, with very little arctic/glacier and strips of jungle/swamp instead of polar caps. Everything is fine until I play it and do "reveal map", Civ puts a strip of arctic at the top and bottom of the map, ruining it!!!
What's going on? And how do I fix it?
