I think the boar was really Gaul emblem.
Even though it is late, I want to say that Capitolium Hill was a good wonder, if you had geese. I mean, the geese warned the Romans against celtic aggression, so that Geese of the Capitol could be a pretty obsolete Great Wall wonder. Of course, geese as a WoW don't sound that wonderful...

diCesare, i was thinking about rupe Tarpeia when i suggested capitolium hill, and not to geese... but the effect i had in mind is almost he same.

IMHO that would make a good wonder, especially a pic w/ geese.

          I clamor for this scenario!

Heeey, I leave for a paltry few weeks and a Roman scenario suddenly pops up to compete with mine. I should stay online all the time and stamp out threads like this before they can grow...

But seriously, looks fantastic Tecumseh Can't wait to play it.

Oh boy Cleopatra ("Honours/ Loves her Father") wasn't black, not even starch skinned, she was north Greek by birth, as all of the Ptolemaic dynasty (more or less).
The funny thing is that in surviving contemporary art she is depicted with a rather big nose
I 'll post a picture of her nose here, if I can find it on the web. Otherwise I 'll try to scan the one I have, though I doubt her nose will fit the scanner

I guess the nose came with that supposed nubian great great grandmother noone has written about , or heard about till the 1970's (so the grandma must have been black, right? )
African pride ok (Kush, Nubia, Aksum, Mali, Shonghai...) Afro-nubian b***t no way.

Philosopher Blaise Pascal made the famous remark that "Cleopatra's nose, had it been shorter, the whole face of the world would have been changed."
An article and a book on Cleopatra's nose at:

                    (A book on her nose!)
Another article on her nose and lineage at:

A Christian/ quasi-feminist view of her nose at:
Using rare pieces of art, a major exhibition is peeling away the myth of the ancient Egyptian queen as no more than a femme fatale.

A site full of ancient artifacts depicting her nose:

A girlish forum where ladies get informed about her nose

                    I found 336 results about her prominent/ long/ hooked/ strong/ aquiline/ stocky nose in Yahoo! alone.
In Civ2 terms, her nose could be depicted either as:
                    a) A tireme ram, to crush the Roman navy at Actium (sea/ naval superiority/ smell 2/ smell submarines) It would be usefull as a hound err... scout unit too.
                    b) A grappling hook, to board Roman battleships (marine flag). No wonder everyone was attracted to her!
                    or
                    c) The ultimate biochemical superweapon (missle, nuclear, destroy after sneezing). Oh no! Mr Bin might get an idea out of this!
She kinda resembles an ex-girlfried. You get the picture

Yes, thanks. I've been making a few and converting the ones you've made into multi-figure format. Here's a sampler: Armenian infantry, Cleopatra, patricians, Parthian general, Judean cavalry, slaves, Cisalpine (Caesar's) legion, Parthian horsearcher.
