YES, I would certainly like to see a detailed map of the Warring States period w/the location of many cities. Please do send it to me when convenient.

    Thanks,

In Fictional Americas I used the unique approach because I wanted every side to have different units and strategies. On the other hand, in my current beta of Imperial Amition I am using European units even for Native Americans and Africans in order to be as close to modpack as possible.

Yes, St. Leo, I see you understand. Have you actually created a scenario w/the name Imperial Ambition? This is another strange coincidence--I have had the "perfect computer wargame" in my head (as a conception only, but for many years now) and I have always referred to it as "Imperial Ambition." But those ideas resemble Civ2 only vaguely. Even stranger, I have started work on an 1870-1920 scenario, tentatively titled, "Imperialism 1870," primarily because I can't think of a better title.

Perhaps there is no real "preference" among scenarios, between generalist and specific. Both methods serve different ends. Oddly, I do seem to prefer generalist scenarios, maybe because I DO believe that is is difficult to achieve game balance when different civs have different units w/different capabilities.

        Salutations,
        Exile
