  • A Question about the CHANGETERRAIN thing.

    Anyone who's seen Michael Daumen's Great Game scenario knows that there is a CHANGE TERRAIN order that can be placed in an events file that will alter terrin according to co-ordinates put in to the order.

    Question 1.) Where are the rules for this order?

    Question 2.) Does anyone know if the terrain can be changed to terrain with railroads in it?

    1) Don´t know if thats what you asked, but...

    @IF
    (...)
    @THEN
    CHANGETERRAIN
    terraintype=1
    maprect
    46,96,46,96,46,96,46,96
    @ENDIF

    ...you only have to insert the ChangeTerrain command, the type of terrain and the coordinates

    2) The new terrain (after the ChangeTerrain event took place) is created without any improvements, previous improvements on that square were destroyed by the event. Also units or even complete cities can be wiped out with such events...

      You cant place railroad on terrain this way, but you can change the terrain to a terrain with a movefactor of 0 (which is very similar to a railroad) this would however require you to get rid of one of the other terrains... (I'd sugest the glacier terrain as it isn't used a lot in your map).
