When I rush-released SoH in March 2001, I was aware of several things that were rather undone, or finished for marginal content. In version 1.2 I tried to fix the most important of these errors, but there were still a couple of things to be changed. I am particularly grateful in these regards for Kevin Klop (a.k.a. willemvanoranje) for pointing out many of these things in his review at Civfanatics, although I am still not entirely sure wether played version 1.1 or 1.2. In any case, this review was taken as a guideline for this update, however, some major things haven't been changed yet. I still hope you will find this version 1.3 to be adequade for the current time.
The changes in version 1.3 include:
* Enhanced City.txt to prevent AI civilizations from founding nameless cities
* Enhanced Events.txt, now including some pieces of Spartan poetry and a couple of further events
* New unit graphics
* Two new advances leading to three new units, as well as one non-buildable unit
* The scenario now starts in 754, which is the start of the list of spartan Ephors, rather than 736, the start of the first Messenian war. In result of this, the historical events have been delayed.
