  • The Wonder! Alex met Captain Nemo!

This was impossible but this happened! Too greatest artist met each over in a real life. I know Captain Nemo since 1988. We created many images for Civilizaton - II and becomes Internet-friends. Cap helped me to complete my favorite scenario «Spartacus», I participated in his masterpiece, «The Red Front». We told about many materials, about games, war history, books, films, business, and a private life. We exchanged our photos. We joined our forces and published in Russia the common article about the first American ironclads...
But we had no chances to meet each over in real life because I live in Russia, he lives in USA. But must be we were blessed with a great luck: in the end of October my destiny was to visit America by a professional occasion. I stay in USA during two weeks, first in Wasington, Then in St’ Petersburg and finally in New York. Before my departure I send a short www
letter for Captain, but I knew the only my hotel address in Washimgton.
Captain have founded me! The great luck was that he lives only one hours from Washington if to go by car. The second day of my American voyage he arrived to meet me!
He picked me from hotel and after an hour we already set at his cozy house in the company with his charming wife, drank a red dry wine, eaten a grilled meat and discussed everything.
With the assistance of Captain Nemo I have known much more about Americans and the «small America». He also delivered me to Baltimore where we have a lunch in a restaurant on the shore of a bay and stood on the desk of USS «Constellation» - the frigate of the American Revolution time which is harbored there.
Woy!!! Will somebody to deny that this is not a wonder? Yes I saw two wonders of the World in this Year: in summer I was in China and climbed to the Great Wall. In this October I stood near United Nations building in New York. But the greatest wonder was to meet a real Captain Nemo, to talk with him to shake his hand, to see his house to have a lunch with his family .
And now If somebody think that Civilization is only a game which waste valuable time only, tell him this story. The story about unique friendship which could never have a chance to be if we were both not involved in this original community. I see here a new generation of Civ fans, my site is frozen and I do not create my fine images anymore as a Captain too. We are busy men, not a boys, but we still «remember Alamo», our days in Civilization, when we have a fun and a glory among yours by means of me and Captain’s art work.
«So be written and so be done». Long live Captain Nemo. Long live friendship. Long live this blessed community.

That is great news! It really has been a joyus experience to get know Civ players around the world. Hopefully, someday I will be able to meet face to face with them as you and Nemo have done. I have been to you homepage many times Alex, reading about your journalism and such. I feel I know you (to a degree) and I think that its great that the two Legends of Civ design have been able to enjoy each other's company and learn about one another's life. Truly a heartwarming story.

I need it only as a basis, Henrik - nothing involving Sweden.

                        Ah ok
When you said that you needed a swedish dragoon I wasn't sure which scenario you meant (since as far as I know there where none in that succesion war), it makes sense if you wanted it as a template...
