Ive finished a round of Hellas, a lovely scenario indeed. Cant find Giant squids Earth and water scenario. So I will go back to Hartel's Dareiois Scenario. Which is a fascnating, yet somewhat daunting. I will try once again playing as Persian.
I realize that i need to quickly address Persian finances, by selling off unneeded improvements, and moving caravans to best demand points. Meanwhile fight off Scythians. Then send big army out to take high shield indus valley cities - to do that, i need several settler units to build fortresses and roads. Any sense of how many i need before setting out? Any other tips? A more detailed walk-through of what I have laid out above would also be great ( mainly to keep me from having to replay a 30 minute turn one over and over until I get it right)
Also, any thoughts on playing Athens or Sparta instead of Persia?
