  • Happy New Year & Resolutions

    !!!!!!!!HAPPY 2000!!!!!!!!

Looks like we made it through yet another decade, and boy am I amazed! Here's hoping 2000 brings more good times.

This message is a bit early in the USA and Europe, and a bit late in Australia.

Feel free to post your new years' resolutions (scenario-related of course) here.

    Mine:

    1) To finish either Heaven & Hell or Martin Luther King before year's end
    2) To get the backlogged reviews posted up in a more timely fashion
    3) Less Civ2, more work

Teramore, Aufstieg, and maybe The Dream of Kolokotronis!

About that item where Civ2 won't be popular in the year 2001:
We've made it to 2000, haven't we? Its been, what, 4-6 years since the release of Civ2, and about 3-5 years of people making scenarios publicly? We got through Civilization: Call to Power, Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri, and Civilization II: Test of Time, and some might have left for those games, but I guarentee you this: People will continue to create Civ2 scenarios, maybe even until 2002! We will not end, friends, and I speak to DarthVeda when I say this: CIVILIZATION II WILL NOT DIE!

I CAN POST! Woohoo! No more IP ban on me!

    Happy New Year!

Last time I checked, ToT bore the name "Civilization II"... why, they happen to have the same engine even!

Separated at birth? I think not...

I have but one civ-related resolution:

Complete THE RISE AND FALL OF THE SOVIET UNION.

As always, I'll promote a gander (by you) to the thread of the same name in this same forum for ideas, comments, etc...

Not that I don't have enough ideas of my own, it's just that I'm always open to other people's opinions.

          HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

          Went off without a hitch...

-To finally finish my second senario and get it out for playtesting before I leave school for university. That would be in about 1 1/2 years.
-To begin thinking what kind of scenario to do next. Either a Khmer scenario or something about Amundsen and Scott in their race for the South Pole.
-To start a personal webpage which, of course, would include a Civ section.

And a lot more I have no idea of yet.

A Happy New Year to all of you!

              My resolutions :

              - Transform my new scenario "the Mysterious Cities of Gold" into a trilogy.
              - Write more reviews
              - Post a design tip
              - Start a multi-events, multi-terrains,... scenario.

              HAPPY NEW YEAR

Mine are a bit along the same vein as Blackclove's:

(1.) Do a Test of Time scenario
(2.) Host the inaugural Mark Laanan vs. Nick Crown bloodlust game
(3.) Quarantine my time better between Civ and work, which is going to be tough when it comes to doing reviews, as these do somehow take up more time than one may first expect!

Anyway, Merry Chri..., err,... Happy New... err, wishing everyone a great Australia Day!

                    Te he,

Actually I realised it would be both the inaugural and the swansong bloodlust game. d-oh! Eddie, $2,000 on the table and we'll start talking (something like that, wasn't it?).

Err - chaps - just enjoying a little levity.

Returning from the biggest new year's party in history in Berlin, hereare my resoultions:

                          To be completed:
                          -Pharaon
                          -Franco-Prussian War
                          -The Sassanids
                          -Another one...

                          To be started:

-The end of the Classical age (359-334 BC)
-Remake of "Quest for Asia 2: The Persian Empire"
-Minor updates/bugfixes of "Quest for Asia", "Artaxerxes"
-Darius the Great version 2.1 and Iran 1.1 will be out with (I think) CSC's next update
-Finally release my very own scenario units collection with the release of my next scenario(s)
-Release my cities collection (which to date includes: Persepolis, Indian, Berlin, Yamato, Greek styles).
-(Possibly) an epic scenario about Alexander at the Indus

That's quite a bit, but the millenium is young
