I've had HoI for a while now, and just got EU2 today. I like it a lot, better than HoI in my opinion, though I like that time period a lot better.

Should I still get EU1? Is it different enough from EU2 to warrant another purchase, or is it just a more...primitive...EU2?

I'd say no. EU1 was a very good and addicting game when it came, but basicaly, it's EU2, just simpler, much more unstable and not worth it if you have Eu2.
