I believe that may be just about the closest you've ever come to it.

I'm still learning EU2 so I can't really judge the quality of the AI yet but HoI seems much much better with 1.03. Navies can fight, Germany attacks fortresses and doesn't need US assistance to beat the French and the AI throws some unexpectedly good moves at you every once in a while. Or maybe I just suck.
In any case, right now I rather enjoy it and there's no reason whatsoever to think that Paradox will stop there.

A bit, but I can understand your desire to run a positive
forum, and having my posts here have not been positive.

So I'm give credit were credit is due. The HOI game does have ALOT of potential. It is better than Axis &
Allies for example, but it needs alot more work done.

The EU2 1.05 game is a lot of fun at the start as long as you known what the bugs are. I personally don't finish once the WC is a forgone conclusion.

I've never really went for WC. I like to keep my BB minimal and expand in a semi-realistic way.

          You did.

(Though I don´t quite get your point? Did I ever in my life defend Blizzard or any other RTS? (except Galactic Battlegrounds, which is decent.) But where does the crappiness of most RTSs excuse HoI´s many shortcomings? HoI would be a better game, had they made it a TBS in the first place. )

I disagree. The RTS aspects works very well for synchronised attacks and unit movement in general. HoI would have been a better game if it wasn't about WW2.

Can´t really disagree. The EU engine was not quite made to simulate WWII.
