  • Which version do you play?

This is a simple question, just choose the appropirate option above.....

Are you playing Europa Universalis 1492 - 1792,
    or Europa Universalis II ?

Which patches are availible for the version you play?
(and what do they fix, etc.)

And at last: Have you found any interresting addon scenarios, mods, etc. ?

    EU2
patch 1.05, fixes too many things to list but the main ones: (that I can remember )

    -scenario editor
-if you capture all the provinces of a pagan nation you can annex the entire nation
-less crashes (although I still have some )

    interesting scenarios:

EEP: 2 grand campaigns with lots of new events, one historical and one fantasy ( ie events for byzantium after 1453)

MKJ's grand campaign: new events, mainly to make it easier for the ottomans (who were seriously underpowered in the original campaign) and for the netherlands

Imperium Francorum: plays from 751-1419, will be released within a week or two I think

Age Of Nationalism: 1820-1914, will be released in late august or september

EU2, always fully patched. I tried using the EEP, but it made my games unplayable when attempting to reload them.

              EU 2, 1.05...

I find it the patch to be as enjoyable as 1.10 for EU1.

                I play EU2 version 1.05 and I can't wait for version 1.06. I've actually never played EU1.

Well, I tried the EU1 tutorial out. (one can borrow EU1 at my local library, but not EU2. You have to pay cash)
The library-EU1 was a norwegian version, and it felt kinda unusual playing a computergame in my own first language.
But the funny Ireland tutorial was the only thing i did!
Overall, the game look very much like EU2, but it had fewer opportunities for the player and the AI to use.
Ok, mostly rules and gameplay-issues had been changed...

The EU1 Turtorial is rather bad, without the right patch it is terrible (since you can not save).

                      What he said.

                      EU2 all the way.

Hm. Everybody here seems to think that EU2 is far superior. I read somewhere that it was almost the same game as EU1. Could someone enlighten me about this?
I watched you fall. I think I pushed.

A few additional features. A few cosmetic changes. The rest is changes to the innards.

It is very much the same. There are some differences, though.
In the diplomacy and rules. Only nice enhancments that is!

EU2. It has many small changes which make it a much better game.

Sadly, it shipped riddled with bugs. The wretched centralisation slider bug has still not been fixed.
