  • Conquering nations

As it's only just been released here, I've only got to play it for a few hours but I already have one question - what's up with only being able to conquer a nation that has 1 province?

Anyway, there are some great chances since the first

Its a device to stop the rampant taking over of the world that could occur with EU1.
There has been heated debate about it on the official forums. Go there and do a search
Basically you whittle a nation down until you own all their provinces except the Capital. Now, when you control the capital, you can get the option to Annex.

      That's idiotic in my opinion.
Not minding that those nations aren't realistic.
I mean, I played in one scn Prussians and conquered all their territories from Silesia to Raguas except for part of Belgium and what?
They didn't want to agree on peace unless
I wanted just 3 provinces. I offered them 5 provinces of those that I occupied,
      and they weren't interested! Idiotic!

Its been pretty much done to death. We've had 4 patches and Paradox hasn't change it, which pretty much means that it won't be changed.

Besides, it makes conquest that much tougher (you should grab a few provinces and vassalize instead), and more realistic.
