I think u should change ur approach. I've never had a problem with Paradox staff, and I've not been the gentle one all the time..one of my first posts was about why the game crashed all the f*cking time, and now I've made a couple of friends in the staff.

I don't feel like dirt. I feel fresh and clean.

Yes, the people at Paradox apparently learned that it doesn't pay to treat the customers like ****. And you are profiting from the free lessons I gave to Paradox.

Does your game still crash all the fooking time?

By the way, RobRoy, this duckperson doesn't reply to emails. Nor does the Paradox forum.

And I am still not sure whether they consciously misrepresent what people say or whether it is just them being "linguistically challenged". They are Swedes and Danes after all. This is not a cheap shot, but a factual observation; the pundits at the forum thought that "negro" was a term of racist abuse, and they thought that Gary Condit was a Republican because they saw Rep. written after his name.

Real gamecompanies applaud criticism because it helps them to improve their products. Paradox on the other hand punishes the critics. Well if that's the way they want it....

Lol, if u weren't so hilaruous, I'd think u were plain stupid.

No my EU1 copy doesn't crash, had very few crashes after 1.05...and I can assure u that u didn't help "my cause", since I pretty much didn't have any cause. Besides, it was posted 15 months ago, with v1.00....very crashprone..

They are Swedes and Danes after all. This is not a cheap shot,
Cheaper than a hooker in Kristiania(Denmark FYI)

Lol, where did u get that Dane thing from? All Pdox staff are Swedes. If ur trying to take a shot at poor C4, ur cracking me up.

We were talking the crashing of EU2. I never had problems with EU1 but I didn't start with the early version.

I see your point, I didn't have any problem with the forum for about half a year, I could be critical and I read critical remarks from others but then suddenly they started kicking out people.

And yes this Christian IV was the Dane I was referring to. He had opened a thread about freedom of speech where people could vote if they were for or against. I was for. Then the question was if also people that didn't believe in holocaust soapstories would be allowed freedom of speech, I said of course and then without any explanation I was banned from posting and even from reading the forum. That stupid Dane didn't understand the difference between defending someone's right to have an opinion and agreeing with that opinion. And then he closed his own thread about freedom of speech or the Paradox Fuehrer closed it for him, I don't know. Well that was quite symbolic .

But the management are all Swedes. And they must have realised they won't have any customers left if they start kicking out everyone that isn't a politically correct euroweenie. Bit weird for a game where you can trade slaves and where you see after finishing the game how many millions of people you killed.

There is a reason that it appeared as ****. It's because the owners of this site have enabled the censor program. They don't want that kind of language on this site.

The truth is simple. This is a private site. You, as members, agree to post by the rules. If you don't, you will lose your membership rights.

There is NO SUCH thing as freedom of speech here. This is not a government or nation... it is a privately ownded sites. and you will follow the rules.

If you dislike a publisher of a game, or the game itself fine. You want to argue about any given point... fine.

But, just because you can get around the censor by using periods and many other methods doesn't mean it's ok. Please respect the wishes of the owners of the site. If you can't...

So as a reminder... don't find ways around the censor, and don't make personal attacks against other members. Otherwise, you can discuss the game however you want.

Last... this is a thread about the stability of the game... not the mods at another site... So try to stay on topic.

Sorry for the interuption... but a complaint was registered.

                Thank your for your time...

Point taken. Thanks for clearing the "offensive language rule" up Ming, I simply thought it was the program that made asterisks out my my poetic language . Ah...if only the folks at Paradox would use some kind reminders about what the rules are instead of banning away their critics...

Yes this thread has gone severely off-topic. But if someone goes off-topic again I promise not to answer here but to open a seperate thread for the interesting way Paradox deals with customers complaints and the kill the messenger phenomenon.

To return to the crashing problem, apart from Paradox and its lackeys' helpful suggestion (something in the line of, yeah it's no problem for most customers for the game to crash after they played for an hour), read my earlier suggestion about copy protection. Also try to stop every non-essential program from running (through ctrl-alt-delete and click away all programs except Explorer), have enough diskspace on your C drive, and save more often (yes I know it's irritating) especially in the middle of complicated wars.

                    Hello Herman

First of all you were banned for posting links to revisionist pages and supporting the revisionist thought, which is a crime in Sweden. So unless you have any problem with that you were banned because you broke the law, please shut up.

It's really redicolous that you still fail to see this - I remember you instead made up a lot of laws and facts to attack Denmark and Sweden and their anti racist laws. Quite redicolous actually.

And people - unless you have a problem with that Paradox decided to obey the laws of the country Paradox is situated in, then you really should not have a problem with a revisionist like Herman being banned

Err, just thought I'd get back to the topic.
Don't know if this helps you Oerdin but my copy crashes if I set the resolution higher than 800x600. I'm pretty sure it's because I'm running a Voodoo 5 card (I tried it on my other machine with a Gforce and it's never crashed on me). So, if you're running a Voodoo card, I thought that this might be where your problem lies. Hope this helps.
