  • Eeek........Atttrition sucks

Ihate being Russia, winter destroys me. Anyway to stop the winter from killing (via Attrition) from destroying 1/4 of my men

Winter is cool. Winter knocks out those pesky russian nationalists that keep rebelling in my Eastern provinces

Generally keeping armies well below the supply limit in your provinces should do it.

Use it to your advantage. Plan your wars in either the spring to avoid attrition from moving your armies, or plan for winter to allow your enemies to bleed themselves try in the snow while trying to take your fortresses.

As far as I know, just having your troops sitting in the snow doesn't hurt them. If your supply/unit weight number for the province is high enough, you shouldn't see any loss.
