Strange thing is that your income doesn´t rise with inflation So you cannot say 5% inflation over 200 years is unnatural. It is not related to real world inflation! It´s a game mechanic which was implemented to counter the standard strategy of minting millions of gold just to flood your enemies with mercenaries...

ive got 42% inflation in 1611, but Im Spain, with lots of gold, and i got 10% from the bankruptcy event. And Im a newbie, so I got governors later than I should have.

OTOH Ive only seen one inflation reduction event that I recall. Maybe my DP settings are wrong?

I avoid taking loans or minting old as much as possible to avoid the dreaded inflation trap.

Spanish bankruptcy is hopeless. I had a healthy economy and little inflation and went to somewhere near your value in no time...

Well id say it adds to the challenge, and certainly helps balance Spains strengths. The results of bankruptcy are pretty realistic - Im not so sure about the triggers.
