        EU1 is very good.
        EU2 is exellent!
After I got EU1, I played about only that game for several months.
After I got EU2 right after it's release, I hardly played any other game(other than for the variation now and then. I soon was back!) before November!
Now I've got HoI. It's good, but not as much as EU1 and 2.

Of those three I'd have to say EU2 was the most addicting for me. It appealed to me since I'm a history buff and I liked how there is an active fan community that is constiently making new mods for it. That keeps things from getting stale.

One good thing in EU is that it cover entire planet. But I want a map editor...

Sounds great, but I have never seen this game anywhere. Where can I get it?

In most computer stores, I'd guess. In Norway you can, at least. However, the game is nearly one year old now, so you might get problems soon...

Civ2 is old old old but I think there's no problem in getting it... Why should it be different with EU2?

First, you can't get Civ2 in most computer shops.
Second, I've seen that most computer shops get less and less copies of EU2, something I see as a sign.

You can get it online easy enough.

If you're looking for Civ2, I've seen the original available at places like Target, KMart and Wal-Mart for $10. It seems to be pretty easy to find. Now, I'm not talking about the Multiplayer Gold edition, just the original Windows 3.1 version. If you don't already have Civ3, I think the game of the year edition contains a free copy of Civ2 in the box. At least that way any money you would have spent on Civ2 could go towards Civ3. Good luck!

so no new civ2scn makers, so no new scns...

I sort of like HoI, I'm just having some trouble with understanding certain aspects of it. First I tried to be America and I only played for about two turns before deciding I didn't want to start out with that large of a country. Right now I'm the Finns so that I have a decent sized country with some technology that definitely gets involved in The War. The only problem is that I mismanaged my production in the beggining since I had no idea what I was doing. I played up until the Russians demanded land from and tried to fight them off, but I didn't have much of an army so I quit. I went on break right after that so I haven't played it since.
I never know their names, But i smile just the same

If you are Finnish you don't need much of an army to defeat the Red Army. At least IRL.

The Fins can be played well if you build lots and lots of infantry early on plus you'll need to research all the infantry techs you can befor the winter war. Then its just a matter of holding your ground against the soviet hordes until the Germans can come to your rescue.

As a side note I played a game of HOI the other day were Sweden joined in the winter war to help the Fins. Of course the AI controlled them so the Soviets stomped them.
