Well I'm a newbie in EU II.
I'm starting the Great Campaign with the Duchy of Milan (Northern Italy), after a couple of years spent increasing the relationship with Savoy and Genoa, and after having created a new Aliiance with them (I'm the leader) I want to make them my vassals (without a war of course).
The "tutorial" states that I can Vassalize(?) if:
- I have the same religion (OK!)
- I have an alliance (OK)
- I have a royal marriage (OK)
- my relationship is +190 or above
The point is that, when I send my diplomat to increase the relationship, let's say I'm at 188, as soon as the value gets to 190 either:
- Genoa/Savoy asks me to become their Vassal and/or;
- I can't send a diplo to ask them to become my vassal (and I don't know why).
Other infos for you "old" players:
- my version is 1.04 (Italian patch is not yet existing...)
- I wait the 1 month period of time before sending another diplo (and, yes I have another diplo....)
???? What do I miss???
(I can vassalize as result of a peace treaty without any problem......)
