I'm playing DD at the moment. You're not exactly my time zone, however, and I certainly won't play when I'm supposed to sleep. Plus, I never played it in MP, so I probably would be owned anyway.

Most people playing are in North America or Europe so there is only a max time difference of 9 hours (Assuming someone is on Pacific time and the other person is in Poland or Germany). We plan on starting at 7am Pacific time (That would be 4pm in Germany) the Saturday after next (it got bumped back so that a few more people could buy DD). So far it looks like 6-8 players.

BTW we'll all be using Hamachi, a freeware program, to create a virtual LAN as Paradox's V-Net seems to be a bit slow and sometimes causes crashes. I've been using Hamachi a lot and it is great for MP games.

BTW VJ is one of the people playing so you will already know at least 2 people if not more.

As tempting as it certainly is, I would probably only annoy and upset you with my noobishness, as I don't even know the basics. I'm not against multiplayer, but I'd rather practice on a smaller scale with only 2-3 players before I join such a big game. It's in your best interest, mind you.

3-4 players starting tomorrow at 0800PST/1100EST/1600GMT. Beginners welcome as are experienced hands. We will be playing using a virtual network program called Hamachi so that we can avoid the bottle neck which is Paradox's V-Net server.

It should be a rumble for the ages.

The game seems to be a strange one. It's very stable and going well though VJ (who plays Japan) decided not to invade China), while I (playing USSR) invaded Iran to get a port the Axis can't block with their fleets and the USA DOWed me. It's mid 1937 and the USA went with the Isolationist party in 1936 so I imagine the USA's unhappiness must be in the 15%-30% range just for DOWing me. Japan and Germany are now allied, China neutral, USA wars against USSR, allies are neutral.

                A strange game.

I wouldn't want to join and then not be able to show up, work is crazy and I have duty this next Saturday. I have all of April off though I doubt you will have finished this game by then.

What game speed do you play at usually?

It depends on what's going on in the game. We literally move the speed up and down depending on what the players want.
