I assume that this was the state religion and not the religion of the various provinces.
I was reading the "strange screenshots" thread at the Paradox foums and one of the pics showed SPAIN as protestant.

It was a completely stupid move"I have been reading up on the universe and have come to the conclusion that the universe is a good thing." -- Dissident
"I never had the need to have a boner." -- Dissident

Actually, a reformed Portugal can be rather interesting... trade bonuses complement Portugal's natural strengths, and if you don't colonize too much at the beginning but instead capture eastern CoT's, you don't have much to convert."There are but two powers in the world, the sword and the mind. In the long run the sword is always beaten by the mind."

The main problem was the many catholic Provinces (home and colonized) that I has to convert. My only hope to succesfully convert Tago was to wait for an event (With its large population, Tago is horribly expansive to convert, and the probability is very small). The event happened in the 18th century I think"I have been reading up on the universe and have come to the conclusion that the universe is a good thing." -- Dissident
