~650,000 units of cable TV service.
    ~250,000 units of cheese.
    ~5000 tons of chocolate

    ~70000 tons of fish
    ~500000 tons of fruit juice

    ~310000 tons of poultry
    ~400000 units of Shows
    ~17500 units of wine

    I have to offer:

    Wood
    Bread
    Milk

    Clothes
    Electricity
    Chemicals
    Software.

Drop me a line here or in Simcountry. Also, please feel free to post here for your needs!

    M

PS - Yes, I have heard the arguments that trading is pointless in the game, but it is a feature I enjoy. Therefore, I will employ it, much like hospitals, which are also useless in the game.

Malleus: I have offered you a one-shot lot of 400,000 shows.

Azazel: Trading within countries works like this. Every month, the people of your country consume x amount of many different products, like bread, wine, services, gas, etc. If they use more than your country has in stock, the country automatically orders more of that item as an "immediate" purchase - with the increased price tag. If you come along and cancel this order, then the people won't be able to consume that particular item. The next month the computer will order that product again as an immediate purchase.

There are a few ways to deal with the trade system that I can think of:
        1) Ignore it. Let the computer order items as immediate and accept that you will be paying quite a bit for all these purchases.

        2) Set the computer to order items. This works slightly better than 1, but you will still be getting a few immediate orders due to the computer not being able to buy everything needed each month. They leave purchasing to the last minute.

        3) Set 99-month contracts for as many items as you can. This is nearly the cheapest method and has very low micromanagement, excepting of course every 99 months when you need to renew all the contracts.

        4) Trade for items as Malleus is doing. This has a high micromanagement component, but can be fun. This method can also be the second cheapest method of dealing with country trade.

        5) The Iraq option. Don't ever buy items for the people. When the computer orders items, cancel the order. This is without a doubt the cheapest method considering you won't spend a single $E. It is also a high-micromanagement option, where you have to cancel orders every single month even if the computer is set to not order items. The only way this could be workable is to write a script to cancel the orders for you.

Could someone explain to me why exactly services are in a constant shortage? I've understood it's not very interesting to set up a services corp, but if the market mechanism would work properly price should rise sufficiently to make it worth the while, no?

Should, but doesn't. I think every few months they artifically inject a few trillion tons of services into the system.

Lawrence I'll take 10 interceptors for 10 months too, at The Empires Slave NoCEOs. Thanks in advance.

I've got 2 services corps, and they make up most of the profit of my enterprise!

One of my enterprises (Skanky Enterprise) is made up purely of service companies! Actually, just the one service company. But its net worth is 400B $E now. Not too shabby.

Anyway, service companies should feature heavily in your countries and enterprises. My other enterprise has 10, with another on the way.

hey cool! I was wondering who opened that Interceptor plant in my house.

Service corps are very important for my economy. they give stable income, and are very highly priced.

I think I ought to try this trade thing.

Lawrence: I am willing to buy 5 interceptors per month, on long range contract.

I would apperciate defencive air-to-air missiles, as well.

Well, if it is interesting to set up a services corp, then why doesn't shortage disappear? Pretty weird IMHO.

Speaking of services, I'm interested in closing contracts for a total of 2,200,000 units.

Malleus, I'd like to purchase bread, how many crates can you deliver?

Don't get too enamoured to services. They use up many more workers than the average corp, and there is a services crash every so often.

The Empire of Drunken Macaque NoCEOs shopping list:
                              500 defensive interceptors
10,000 air to air missiles (defensive)
                              Attack helicopters (many)
Offensive helicopter land missiles (more than you can produce )
                              Cruise Missiles

These can be either one-shot deals or provided over many months. Currently I am fine with regards to civilian products.

                              The Empires Slave NoCEOs
                              100 inteceptors Thanks!
                              2,000 defensive helicopters
910 air to air missiles (defensive)
                              19,300 heli land missiles (defensive)

I'll cross things off this list when the contracts are signed.
