I'm a Civ-3 rejectionist, so I would suggest:
Hearts of Iron if you like WW II and/or Europa Universalis
MoO3 if it gets released in time
RCT2 if you're still enyoying RCT since its more of the same.
A good RPG: Morrowind, Wizardry 8
anything else except Civ 3
To doubt everything or to believe everything are two equally convenient solutions; both dispense with the necessity of reflection.

There's a small game I keep going back to no matter what: Space Empires IV. It's only available to buy from Shrapnel.com but don't let that put you off. It's definitely my recommendation.Comment
