So far i'm liking these changes, seem to be in favor of an explorer strategy, or at least against attacker. Lower elite gains, higher maintenace cost means weaker attackers, means better chance of surviving for me...now they only have to make T/M a bit weaker<Kassiopeia> you don't keep the virgins in your lair at a sodomising distance from your beasts or male prisoners. If you devirginised them yourself, though, that's another story. If they devirginised each other, then, I hope you had that webcam running.

Oh my...dwarf sage is good...i'm not the guy to plan out protection strategies, but i've just been playing around with prophet, trying to get as much acres and def in those 72 hours of protection, my first try got me to 546 acres, and 20 dpa..lets see how my 2nd try goes<Kassiopeia> you don't keep the virgins in your lair at a sodomising distance from your beasts or male prisoners. More announced plans/considerations:
* Hospitals will have a 4%/60% max effect on combat losses instead of 5%/80%.
* Merchants get a guaranteed minimum employed peasant income of 3gc regardless of happiness levels.
* Specialist prices raised to $350; Elite prices dropped to $3500 - but Elite prices rise as the player grows.
* On Hostile/War declarations, we have a couple of possible options - these still need to be looked at more:
- Peasants getting upset if kingdoms don't actively participate in hostiles / wars they declared. Individual provinces wouldn't need to participate, but kingdoms as a whole would have to.
- More penalties for declaring multiple hostiles. That is, declaring two hostiles would have more than double the effects of declaring just one.
- Wars automatically being Mutual Peace'd or simply cancelled if neither side is actively fighting.
It's all looking interesting indeed...
