  • What race has style in Warcraft 3?

I don't want to know which race you play as in MP, but which race you _like_. I like the orcs, they are just so stylish with their blend of hotheadedness (Grom) and wisdom (Thrall). They are a misunderstood race who had a cool peaceful religion before they were corrupted by the burning legion.

I also quite like the undead; they have the "we are evil, evil is cool" role, which carries a certain cachet. The dreadlords are particularly stylish.

I do not like the camp humans, with their dumbass peasants and overly righteous leaders.

Most of all I dislike the xenophobic, tree-hugging, hippy night elves........even the sounds made when the units come out makes me want to eat my monitor to make it go away.

I like the Orcs' style, as in I like being a bad-ass with guys running around hacking away at stuff... but I thought Thrall was nothing but an idiot - it was too contrived and he didn't seem all that wise to me.

The biggest problem I had with the whole plot was that everyone was so damn stupid in their reasoning for disliking the other races - well, except for the relationships with the Undead...

The best story I thought was the Human campaign, and the Undead was fairly good - but they set up an expansion in a way too cheesy manner. The Orc campaign had some nice ideas... but I never got wrapped up in their story. The Nightelf campaign was just too much of the same old, same old, I mean, every time that there's an RTS someone is "defending their homeland". I did like the missions in that campaign though, but I wish I sould've controlled all the races on that last mission - that would've rocked.

BTW, who here believes the Dwarves and Goblins should get their own races? Can you imagine how kick-ass that would be?
I never know their names, But i smile just the same

I liked the Orc campaign the best. Something about it kept me wanting more.

I found the Undead campaign the most uninspired. I didn't have the same feeling of wanting to go through it.

I haven't finished the game yet, only halfway through the Night Elves campaign, but until now, the Orc campaign has been the most boring campaign...

The tribe I like the most is the Night Elves, but I guess it's more because: They care about the nature...and they're girls And I really like to be able to walk around with their buildings
This space is empty... or is it?

It's amazing that people can openly admit theft and grin like a monkey about it.

Oh and the Scourge have shown the most style for me.

I have played a few games with a friend of mine.

I have played quite a few single player games on the MP maps to practice, but my computer just meets the minimum specs, so I get control problems when there are a lot of units.

I am waiting until I get a new computer to play some larger MP games.

Look a little harder......the net is a bountiful place.

I recommend those thinking about playing a bit do so. Don't bother playing the comp that much, just enough to familiarise yourself with the maps. Playing humans (as in us, not the gay warcraft race ) is much different, and all those nice plans you make against the comp go to pot pretty soon.

I just finished a few games......including one where I mashed a higher ranked night elf. Orcs hate night elves (even aside from the comments I made above) because huntresses own grunts in the open. One possibility is to tech quickly and hit them with raiders. I got windwalk with my BM and kept harassing their wisps, then when the hunts were chasing the BM (he died btw ) I ran in with the raiders and hacked down their upgraded tree. I was p1ssing myself. After the tree fell the hapless NE ran into my well towered in base and suicide attacked then quit when he failed.

I agree that WC3 (and NWN) were overpriced. It is theft, you're right!

bah, there's too many games to buy, if i bought everything (hardware and software) i wouldn't have any $$$ left ... and besides, you know how filthy rich them companies and creators are.. i have no problem stealing something from people who don't need the money anyway, they earn tons already with the normal sale, i mean everybody has casettes from artists they hear on the radio, people have VCR's with which they can copy movies they haven't paid etc

you gotta stop nagging about monzy money money money, ...ripping off poor people is bad, many companies do it, so why don't you got nagging against those ****ers

That sounds like a personal problem rather than one Blizzard, as an example, should be required to solve.

Do you know how much they jack up the price of games to make up for the loss piracy creates?

Who is ripping you off? Video games are a luxury that you need to survive and don't rate as having near the same nobility as stealing bread to survive. If you can not afford a luxury, the simple solution is not to buy it then.

DD, while I agree with everything you said, the task of house-breaking snotty teenagers is best left to the OT forum.
