Do any versions of this game have a scenario editor included in them?

    Just wondering?

          Thanks
          Would you reccommend it?

can i build something like Heroes Chronicles: Warlords of the Wastelands with it?

Can I add text dropdown writing and place cities, etc?

How large are the maps, any limits?

Does Heroes IV have the same thing?

          Thank you

yes I would. its a best Godd@mn editor I have seen.

I dunno 'cos I haven't played any of those "Chronicles".
propably. but those chronicles are a rib off, hopefully you have not purchased any of them
if you have, throw them away and get some real Heroes3 instead. and I'm serious.

you can do that, and A LOT more.
anything you have seen in the game, should be able to duplicate with that editor.

How large are the maps, any limits?
you can build tiny, small, medium, large and huge maps.

Does Heroes IV have the same thing?
in the matter of fact, I don't know.
but H3 is far superior game compared to H4.
while H3 has so few bugs that its a miracle, H4 has LOTS of them. H3 was a finished product when it was released(over 3 years ago), but H4 was released too early, and one can see that. and even overall game play is better in H3 than in H4.

but weren't they short and had only one adventure/campign?
while Heroes3 original had IIRC 6 campaigns, first add-on armageddons blade had IIRC 6, second add-on shadow of death had IIRC 4. + lots of premade maps + random map generator + multiplayer options.
but if you liked the Chronicles, fine.

I suppose I'll have to start lookig for H3.
you should go for Heroes3 Complete, it has the original game and both add-ons.
Heroes3 original has also been re-released as lowprice-whatyoucallthem.

BTW Heroes2 is also great game , not so refined as H3 but anyway

just checked Homm4 has a Campaigneditor(which means iyou can create scenarios and also link them together to campaigns..)
But still Homm III is better
Imagine this: They make me choose between Mino' and Medusa's.. thats like forcing me to choose between my children..

Actually, I think that Heroes IV is a conceptually vastly more interesting game, mostly because hero development isn't so monomanically straightforward as it is in Homm3. But Heroes IV isn't a finished game, and I really don't see how it will play in multiplayer if they ever release that patch - hero-killing will be the only tactic then.

The Homm3 editors are great. If you haven't played Homm3, the Heroes 3 Complete edition is probably the best gaming value your money can buy right now.

"I think the real figures probably are about a million or less." - David Irving on the number of Holocaust victims.

I've got HOMM3 and I agree: It is an awesome game. I don't deal with the editor though, as there are only 24 hours in a day.

                          Buy it!

If you start messing with the HOMM3 editor, Apolyton will lose you for good. Creating a HOMM3 scenario is much more fan than creating a civ2 one.

You shouldn't judge HOMM from the # of the available campaigns. You should judge it from the # of player-made scenarios available on the internet. HOMM3 has loads of them and they are really good.
