Dope Wars on my Palm is the only game I play these days. I've lost the stomach for computer games, it would seem.

What can you all recommend that might restore my faith. I have not played any games that are newer than Starcraft.

Played in recent time/will play after Civ3

                Medal of Honor
                Baldurs Gate 2
                Railroad Tycoon 2
                Age Of Empires/Kings

I actually prefer to go MB on the time that I am not glued on the screen with "one more turn syndrome"

Sometimes I wish I was back in High School or College or something so instead of working I could play all these interesting games!

Anyway, can somebody tell me how good Neverwinter Nights and Morrowind is?! As an RPG fan I am very interested in them (I would have to buy a new PC though).

a lot of people don't like Nwn for some reason.

I enjoy it. I think their expectations were too high. It's a good game, but needs work. But when I say it needs work, it is reasonable to expect it can be done (unlike civ3 which needs work that won't be done).

graphics cards problems. No prob if you have a geoforce

the original campaign is a little plain, but the good thing is of course you can find many more even only weeks after the game is released.

a few rules adaptions seems hokey. A lot of people complaining about henchman rules, monster summoning durations etc.

Morrowind looks good too. I'm not sure I'll get into the RPG model as much. I admit I usually prefer D & D style.

But the graphics are awesome and you can swim!. The world is freakin' huge. The plot seems solid enough (at least better than dungeion siege and pool of radiance 2).

I would like to play it after I'm done with NWN. Hopefully I can find it a little cheaper in the future. I'm not sure how long it takes for prices to drop on a game.

I have only played a few minutes on my brother's computer.

Dark Age of Camelot... the only game I've really played for the last six months.

I haven't played a real computer game for over a month though

It makes good improvements on the first, and plays pretty much the same way - so if you liked the first, you'll probably like the second.

                                The most prominent changes are:
                                • A better combat engine.
                                • More buildings and cunstruction options in towns.
                                • Ability to found new towns.
                                • You start with a "wizard" instead of a hero - basically, the wizard acts as the source of all your spells and power, but is relatively weak and does not gain levels.
                                • "Wizard domains" ie. the area of the world map that a wizard can have influence over.
                                • The different races have been cleaned up a bit, but not any really drastic changes.
                                • More spells, and the ability to research new traits for your wizard. (ie. better spell casting, more income, quicker research, ect...)
