  • Which Sid Meier games have you played?

I've been meaning to do this ever since we've obtain more options.

This isn't if you owned or have them, it is just if you've played them. This is because many people have gotten some of the older games from warez sites and might have since deleted them.

I've played almost half of those ...

Most of the other half I've never even heard of ...
If I'm posting here then Counterglow must be down.

<Kassiopeia> you don't keep the virgins in your lair at a sodomising distance from your beasts or male prisoners. If you devirginised them yourself, though, that's another story. If they devirginised each other, then, I hope you had that webcam running.

Sid made the first version of it. It was all single player. They say that if he hadn't of been there, there might not have been any sequels and addons.

MtG is a Sid Meier game... never knew that. I never liked it too much, I wonder if I had taken up to it seriously had I known this.

Same here, have played about half of them but haven't even heard of the rest.

Conflict in Vietnam, Crusade in Europe, and Decision in the Desert and the only ones you should be excused of not knowing. All the other early ones were groundbreaking games that started subgenres.

Whose played CPU Bach? I have never been able to locate a copy to try out.

Red Storm Rising was a Sid game? I know Microprose did it, but I didn't think Sid had anything to do with it... oh well, too lazy to look it up now.

Fun game though. I always liked it how on the easy difficulty levels against a convoy, when they wouldn't send helicopters after you, to basically surface (go to 10 m deep, have periscope up 50 meters in the air), have active radar blaring, and run around at flank speed firing Tomahawks at things.

It was fun how I got better at the game, too. First time my rank was Mr. for screwing up the game but killing the boomers, and I eventually got better (although I did get the worst ending once!) and started winning the war, even on the higher difficulty levels. I found it amusing how much the war depended on me- I'd advance forward, wipe out Russian groups, see us winning, then head back to resupply in Scotland... and watch as the Soviets got ahead of the game... and then I started killing htings again, and they'd be thrown back from Paris and be on the retreat again and... ah, it was amusing.
                  All syllogisms have three parts.
Therefore this is not a syllogism.

Pirates!, F19, Railroad Tycoon, Civ1&2, Colonization, Civ Net, Alpha Centauri. I'll probably download some more just to see what they're like.

In addition to CivII, CivIII and SMAC, I've played TOT -- which really did desrve its own slot.
No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

Hell, I'm not really a gamer, so most games I've played are Civ games, and in fact every game I've played is a strategy.

Civ, Civ 2, CivNet (last year ), Civ 3, SMAC. Don't even plan on buying SimGolf, and will play SMAC 2.

Yeah but how much do you really think Sid had to do with TOT. I mean he didn't make Civ II and then an expansion? Sid would not have touched the code of that thing with a six foot long pole.

Pirates, RRT, Civ1, Civ2 (and TOT), Colonization, SMAC. I'll get around to Civ3 when it hits the bargain bin or a used-game table at a convention.
"THE" plus "IRS" makes "THEIRS". Coincidence? I think not.
