UK PC Gamer has that demo in the latest edition so the US one should too. I've been too busy to check it out.

Medieval Total War site just opened. It looks like a pretty good game. Worth keeping your eyes on it:

        nice links Leonidas
Looks very promising. I really enjoyed Shogun(and mongol invaision), it kept me occupied for quite a while, trying out different clans to play as etc. It's the most fun i've had in a tbs to date.
Just tried that download - it'll take me about an hour, and that's over a 1.5M cable connection no-one could do it on 56k that's for certain!

child of Thor: My pleasure It's great to see the historical game is back. And this one looks like it'll be a winner. It will include many more features than Shogun had. . .

Sooo, gaming is looking good. . .

STW was great. I don't have Mongol Invasion but played original STW a fair bit. MP is great, and quite unique in my experience, since it is nothing like usual RTS games. I will get Medievel: Total war when it comes out for sure.

That's exactly why it is a pure strategy game. And starcraft is not.
(Shogun is sugared with nice realtime battles where YOU chose the speed and tactics) Most RTS are not strategy games,
              but merely "warsimulations".

Just played and completed the Demo(just the tutorial levels), and anyone who loved Shogun will feel right at home. Just wish the demo included some of my favourite bit(the tbs aspect), ah well can't have it all.
Can't wait for this one - think it will go straight into my top ten

It's true. You can wipe out an entire opposing clan once you finished building the Tea House, giving you access to those truly lethal Geishas.

                    The bad points of Shogun:
You end up saving before an assanination so if it fails you can reload until it works
The AI gets to move during your go: when you send an army into a providence the ai gets to move its units in from other places, you dont making the defence much harder for the player!

                    Medieval better stop this!
                    Just my 2p.
Which is more than a 2 cents, about one cent more.
Which shows you learn something every day.

The AI was pretty stupid though, sometimes I moved my troops into enemy provinces while the AI moved troops away.
